Passenger App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Nemtify Passenger App ("App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application to book and manage non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) trips. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Data We Collect
The categories below describe the types of personal data the App may collect from or about you, and how each category is used to deliver and support our transportation services.
Contact Info
- Name: Including first or last name.
- Email Address: Including but not limited to a hashed email address.
- Phone Number: Including but not limited to a hashed phone number.
- Physical Address: Such as a home address, physical address, or mailing address.
- Other User Contact Info: Any other information that can be used to contact you outside the App.
Contact information is used to create and manage your account, coordinate pickups and drop-offs, send trip confirmations and updates, and respond to your requests.
Health & Fitness
- Health: Health and medical data, including but not limited to data from the Clinical Health Records API, HealthKit API, MovementDisorderAPIs, health-related human subject research, or any other user-provided health or medical data relevant to your trip (such as mobility needs, wheelchair requirements, oxygen, or special accommodations).
Health information is used to ensure the appropriate vehicle, driver, and assistance level are provided for each trip. We do not use health data for advertising or analytics.
Customer Support
- Data generated by the user during a customer support request, including the content of messages, screenshots, and any details you choose to share to help us resolve an issue.
Photos or Videos
- The user's photos or videos, such as a profile photo or images you attach to a support request or trip record.
Audio Data
- The user's voice or sound recordings, such as voice notes submitted to customer support.
Location
- Precise Location: Information that describes the location of a user or device with the same or greater resolution as a latitude and longitude with three or more decimal places. Used for accurate pickup, drop-off, and live trip tracking.
- Coarse Location: Information that describes the location of a user or device with lower resolution than a latitude and longitude with three or more decimal places, such as approximate location services. Used for service availability and regional features.
Financial Info
- Payment Info: Such as form of payment, payment card number, or bank account number. If the App uses a third-party payment service and the payment information is entered outside the App, and we never have access to that payment information, it is not Collected by Nemtify and does not need to be declared.
- Credit Info: Such as credit score, when relevant to financing or billing arrangements.
How We Use Your Data
- To create your account and authenticate you in the App.
- To schedule, dispatch, and complete your non-emergency medical transportation trips.
- To provide real-time trip tracking, ETAs, and driver communication.
- To send trip confirmations, ride status updates, schedule changes, and other service-related notifications.
- To respond to customer support requests and improve service quality.
- To process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
- To comply with healthcare, transportation, and other applicable legal obligations.
Data Sharing
We share your information only with parties that are necessary to deliver the service, including:
- The transportation provider, dispatcher, and driver assigned to your trip.
- Healthcare providers, brokers, or facilities that have arranged or authorized your trip.
- Service providers who help us operate the App (hosting, analytics, mapping, SMS, and payment processing).
- Authorities or third parties when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with healthcare, billing, and legal recordkeeping requirements. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to those obligations.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can review and update your contact information from within the App.
- You can revoke location, microphone, camera, photo library, and health permissions through your device settings at any time. Some features may not work without these permissions.
- You can opt out of SMS notifications by replying STOP to any message, or by emailing info@nemtify.com.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting info@nemtify.com.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive fields. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental or guardian consent. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
